David Miller

Conductor since 2013

The Belgian/American musician David Miller has made a 40 year career based in Brussels as a pianist, conductor and composer. He studied piano, conducting and composing at the University of Maryland Music Department in the early 70s before moving to Europe to pursue his musical career.

Between 1976 and 1987 David was the répétiteur at La Monnaie opera house in Brussels, a role that he resumed between 2003 and 2012. Other major European Opera Houses where David has worked include La Bastille, Toulouse, Dresden, La Scala, as well as the summer festivals Bayreuth and Pesaro. Drawing on his four decades of experience in opera, he also gives master classes in piano and singing at the conservatories of Mons and Liège. David also gives lessons in conducting.

Although officially retired, David Miller remains as musically active as ever. Since 2013 he has been the musical director of the Bruocsella Symphony Orchestra.
